Data Settings

Overview

Data Settings are used to review imported data status, control model constraints, configure transformation defaults, and define the default block grid.

Options Data

Main Sections

Database Status

This section is a read-only dashboard showing counts of imported and interpreted content, such as:

  • Holes, surveys, assays
  • Mineralized intervals, lithologies, alterations, mineralization, RQD, structures
  • Sections, prisms, figures, geolines, composites, envelopes, block models
  • Vertex counts for geometric objects

Use this as a quick data completeness check before estimation or reporting.

Data Constraints

Use this section to control project-level data behavior:

  • Coordinate system label
  • Model extent limits (Min/Max X, Y, Z)
  • Interval gap behavior (default value filling)
  • Specific gravity setup (variable, fixed, and default values)
  • Database access driver

Important Note

If you change model extent limits, reimporting drillhole data may be required.

Default Transformation

Set the project default rotation behavior:

  • Enable or disable rotation
  • Set azimuth, dip, and spin
  • Use automatic reference point or custom reference point (X, Y, Z)

Default Blocks Grid

Define the default global grid used as a starting point for new block models:

  • Grid origin (X, Y, Z)
  • Block size (X, Y, Z)
  • Grid index range (start and end per axis)
  • Coordinate range (start and end per axis)

  1. Review Database Status after each import.
  2. Confirm Data Constraints before interval creation and estimation.
  3. Set Default Transformation early if your project is rotated.
  4. Define Default Blocks Grid before creating block models.
  5. Recheck settings before resource reporting.
